Born in USA, 1960's

East of Pittsburgh, PA,

Where to start?

First of all, that is not a picture of me. That is somebody who has been at my side for thousands of shutter releases. A loyal and silly friend that is one of two dogs I own. If you've seen a middle aged guy with camera equipment and two dogs belted to him in Southwestern Pennsylvania that was either me or some slob who I'm giving a weird reputation.

I've loved photography my whole life but picked up my first DSLR in 2010. Can't put it down now either-

Things I love: Being in the outdoors with my daughter,  dogs, friends, and camera while recording all the visual gifts that nature has to offer.

Things I hate: BIG ugly watermarks, people that don't think rules can be broken, and those who preach "find your niche, specialize and stick to it". Meaning that we should only photograph in one genre. Sorry to report that I learned a lot about many genres by shooting in another genre.

I always look forward to a good discussion about photography with anybody of any gender, ethnic group, religion, persuasion, age, or size.

My Photography Heroes: Scott Kelby, Rick Sammon, Joe McNally, Bill Fortney, Alex Koliskov, WPS and its members, Ansel Adams, Serge Remelli, Jimmy Beltz, my photogrpahy teachers at the college, and my daighter for putting up with me during my photography endeavors.

Thank You for Visiting,

Paul E. Valerio
